Job Title: Liverpool Visitors Centre |Client: United Utilities

What was involved?...

Fuzzy Duck have completed a major project helping United Utilities to mastermind the delivery of a new visitor centre at their brand new £200 million wastewater treatment works in Liverpool.

As part of the delivery of the new facility United Utilities engaged the Ducks to chronicle the story of the River Mersey, the historic Liverpool Docks and the vast environmental advancements designed to clean up the river. Fuzzy Duck worked to design and build the visitor exhibition space as well as a limited edition book and a short film for the official opening by H.R.H. The Princess Royal.

How much energy can you create?…

…whilst keeping the wastewater treatment plant running smoothly?

Going with the flow…

The work included a three projection screen, light and sound experience shown within the operational plant, a permanent exhibition and an interactive game to help visiting children understand the challenges of running a wastewater treatment works.

Production Director, Nigel Moore, who attended the launch said…

“United Utilities have been a client for many years and we have been involved in documenting the construction of this new treatment works for the last four years. With our work in heritage and exhibition it felt like a natural fit when we were asked to continue that work with the visitor centre. It’s such an important project and we were immensely proud to be involved.”
